“Elsi and Jovin , our newest Eye Care Nurse recruits to the Sumba Eye Program, spent most of October with the John Fawcett Foundation , in Bali.

Time was spent developing and learning new eyecare skills both at the Bali Eye Hospital and in the field in Bali.

They were supported by funds from the Sumba Eye Program ,Rotary Glenferrie and Kew, and Optometry Giving Sight/Brien Holden Vision Institute.

Their newly aquired skills will make them valuable Team Members of the Sumba Eye Program helping provide vision to their people. The John Fawcett Foundation has kindly donated the costs involved in teaching Elsi and Jovin ,many thanks”
